Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain Java batch applications and microservices for Google Cloud Platform
- Enhance existing applications and contribute to new initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, maintain high development and security standards
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and Java development
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong proficiency in modern Java development (JDK 17+) and cloud computing concepts
- Development experience for GCP or other cloud platforms
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Developer)
- Experience with Python
- Experience with securely handling sensitive data (PII / PHI)
- Proven track record of writing defect-free code
