Responsibilities What You ll Achieve: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8-10 engineers, guiding development efforts and ensuring successful project delivery. Oversee the management of the team backlog, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure alignment with project goals. Coordinate project logistics, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement in processes and codebase maintainability. Foster an environment that leverages each engineers strengths while addressing areas for growth. Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Advocate for software engineering best practices, including test automation and code quality. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established coding standards. Collaborate closely with other team leads and departments to achieve shared objectives. Who You Are and What you ll bring with you: Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring capabilities. Expertise in Open Source and associated development tools. Proficiency in languages such as Angular, Node & Oracle. Experience with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and software development best practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. A track record of problem-solving and debugging complex applications. Proficient in data analytics and attention to detail. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools. Additional Responsibilities: This position is responsible for managing a team of 8-10 engineers, development, implementation and maintenance of Open Source based applications and components for the automotive marketing platform. This includes designing, developing, testing, analyzing and maintaining new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. Responsible for building and maintaining applications with technologies such as angular 9+, Bootstrap, node.js, REST API, jQuery, HTML5 and Java. Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and business users in conceptualizing, estimating and developing new software applications and enhancements. Assist in the definition of software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, providing time estimates for programming tasks and implementation plans. Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software s objectives, business requirements, deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with internal users and departments. Develop technical documentation to define the system components, development environment and implementation planning/strategies Collaborate with QA team to define test cases, metrics, and resolve questions about test results. Recommend business process flow improvements and clearly communicate problem/resolution process to project management. Update/create Knowledge Base Articles and case studies as necessary. Assist in the creation and improvement of Knowledge Management Advise and mentor team members in specialized technical areas as well as fulfill administrative duties as defined by the support process. Work with cross-functional teams during crisis to address and resolve complex incidents and problems in addition to assessment, analysis, and resolution of cross-functional issues. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures associated with support requires improvement and helps in the process improvement activity. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field. 15+ years of experience in software development. 4+ years of experience in a management or leadership role. Strong development experience with node.js, Microservices, REST API & Angular. Strong skills in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, and respective procedural languages (PL/SQL and T-SQL). Good knowledge of web architectural patterns Understanding and experience with Object Oriented analysis and design practices (Object modeling, use cases, activity diagrams, and UML). Working knowledge in Linux/Unix environment and Shell scripting. Familiar with Application Development Life Cycle and be able to independently participate in each component.
