Embedded Software Engineer - Control Systems

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer specializing in Control Systems with 6-8 years of experience in the design and development of embedded systems. The role involves using Embedded C programming for HYDAC TTC controllers (TTC30 and TTC580) and CODESYS for other controllers such as IFM and RexRoth to develop and implement advanced control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and configure control systems using Embedded C for HYDAC TTC controllers and CODESYS for other controllers such as IFM and RexRoth.
• Implement and troubleshoot CAN interfaces for device communication, focusing on J1939 protocols.
• Utilize CODESYS V2.3, V3.5 Structured text language in system development.
• Employ configuration tools for managing CAN messages, sensors, and actuators.
• Apply object-oriented programming techniques in system design and development.
• Leverage IO interface knowledge (PWM, ADC, DAC, Digital IO) for hardware integration.
• Develop and integrate sensor and actuator interfaces, ensuring robust electronic control systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for designs, specifications, test cases, and results.
• Utilize IDEs like Eclipse for development, ensuring efficient code management.
• Collaborate with global teams to support machine integration and deployment.
• Independently debug and resolve complex issues, ensuring system reliability.
• Communicate effectively with customers to gather requirements and provide solutions.
• Apply Agile - Scrum Development methodologies in project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• B.E in Electronics and communications, Mechatronics with controller programming experience.
• 6-8 years of experience in designing and developing embedded systems with control knowledge.
• Proficiency in Embedded C for HYDAC TTC controllers and experience with CODESYS for other controllers such as IFM and RexRoth.
• Strong understanding of CAN interfaces and protocols, particularly J1939.
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE or any relevant IDE and plugins for development.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques.
• Experience with configuration tools for CAN messages, inputs (sensors), and outputs (actuators).
• Target hardware knowledge with IO interfaces (PWM, ADC, DAC, Digital IO).
• Experience with sensor and actuator interfaces, understanding electronic control systems.
• Strong documentation skills for design, specifications, test cases, and results.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of control systems mathematics.
• Previous experience in heavy machinery in mining, construction, or automotive control systems.
• Proficiency with MATCH Tools: Experience using the Project Definition Tool (PDT), Test and Simulation Environment (TSE), and Machine Service Tool (MST) for developing and maintaining control systems.
• Experience with MATLAB Simulink for modeling, simulation, and control system design.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and heavy machinery.
• Experience in international client environments.
