Web Developer (WIX)

W e are seeking a qualified and Mid-Level Web Developer with significant experience in developing in the Wix platform for both back-end and front-end development, including creating website themes and plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the entire web development process, including des ign, development, and deployment to join our dynamic team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities as a Web Developer (Wix) Mid-Level , you will be responsible for ensuring the design, development, and optimization of our cloud-based technology solutions using the Wix platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective web development strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all aspects of website development, including managing, building, and optimizing WIX sites.
• Oversee website management, assist the SEO Team in technical aspects of SEO to ensure high search engine rankings and effective marketing.
• Implement front-end development using Wix but also capable of using HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery.
• Identify areas for website improvement and develop functionalities from start to finish.
• Ensure mobile optimization and responsive design, including touch screen optimization, Retina/High-DPI optimization, and small-screen optimized navigation.
• Integrate third-party web applications with WIX.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure websites meet user needs and business requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-4 years of experience with WIX.
• Proficiency in front-end development with HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery.
• Experience managing and building WIX sites.
• Knowledge of WordPress (plugin/theme development/API), PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Strong experience building HTML/CSS across major browsers while minimizing load times.
• Experience building mobile-optimized/responsive sites with touch screen optimization, Retina/High-DPI optimization, and small-screen optimized navigation.
• Proficiency in Wix Studio and Velo Code.
• Strong command of CSS for web styling.
• Experience with Shopify and WordPress platforms.
• Familiarity with web development in various environments.
• Good to have: PHP, Ajax, and MySQL knowledge, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills, experience with XML and modern source control (Git), knowledge of SEO and SEM, experience working with tools & libraries like jQuery, CSS grids, HTML5 Boilerplate, WordPress starter themes such as Bones, Modernizer, and third-party APIs.
• Experience designing user interfaces (UI) featuring interactive elements, animated elements, and adhering to design principles such as white space, simplicity, chunking, proximity, weight, context, visual cues, signposts, focus, and conventions.
