PHP Developer - Laravel/React.js (5-7 yrs)

As a PHP Developer, you will work on a wide range of complex problems within our core web application. You will play a key role in both the customer-facing and backend aspects of the product, helping to drive product implementation, and ensuring the product remains scalable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work on various technical challenges across our web application, focusing on both backend and frontend development.

- Develop new features and maintain existing ones, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance.

- Build and improve both customer-facing and internal backend systems with a focus on enhancing user experience and functionality.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Operations to define and implement new features.

- Gain a deep understanding of our product and take ownership of the technical aspects of its implementation.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers, and adhering to best practices.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, ensuring a consistent coding standard across the team.

- Ensure the quality of applications by performing comprehensive unit and integration testing.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance to provide a seamless user experience.

- Contribute to the architecture and technical design of large-scale, complex systems.

- Stay current with industry trends and apply relevant technologies to improve the overall product and processes.

- Maintain a high level of empathy for customers and their experience, ensuring that their needs are addressed through product development.

- Participate in a collaborative and transparent work environment where feedback is both given and received.

- Flexibly manage your schedule to ensure at least 4 working hours overlap with North American time zones (preferably 4 : 30 PM IST to 1 : 30 AM IST).

- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a focus on PHP and web technologies.

- Proficiency in PHP and experience with MVC web frameworks such as Laravel.

- 3+ years of experience in Frontend Web Technologies, particularly with the React.js framework.

- Solid understanding of core computer science principles, such as data structures, algorithms, and system design.

- Proven experience in building high-scale or rapidly growing web applications.

- Strong knowledge of backend systems and web application development best practices, including API design, database architecture, and optimization techniques.

- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

- Experience working with remote teams and collaborating across different time zones.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.

- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality output while following best practices in code reviews.

- Comfortable with fast-paced and pragmatic work environments and managing deadlines effectively.

- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

Desired Skills :

- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices such as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management.

- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).

- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other API design patterns.

- Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or other cloud services for web application deployment.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment while maintaining a positive team spirit
