Role WRA Engineer

Experience 8-12 years
Focus Areas
1. Identification of potential wind farm sites with the help of GIS based tools.
2. Translate measured wind conditions to wind resource characterizations and generate input conditions to Mechanical Loads Assessments.
3. Knowledge of Software: WindPRO, WAsP, WAsP Engineering and CFD, Openwind, PVSyst, Windographer.
4. Optimization of wind power plants by implementation advance modelling technique
5. Commissioning and managing the installation of wind measurement masts at potential sites.
6. Turbine technology selection & site suitability study.
Responsibilities
1. Interaction with different Service units across the globe to identify the business opportunities and support sales initiatives
2. Scope, Plan and deliver workload in accordance with the Project needs.
3. Carry out detailed technical assessment of windfarm which includes wind data analysis, wind flow modelling, load evaluation and turbine data analysis - NAPC trends, alarm logs occurrences etc.
4. Conduct wind and solar resource assessment yield modelling and modelling of hybrid wind-solar-energy storage systems.
5. Support development of new tools and process improvement initiatives within the team and with stakeholders
6. Support to project development team in designing effective and efficient wind measurement campaigns.
7. Supports Business Development team by performing Wind Resource, Annual Energy Production, and Turbine Layout Optimization.
8. Reporting with global consultancy standards.
9. Stakeholder management which includes internal as well as external parties.
Qualification
Masters / Bachelors in Mechanical / Electrical / Renewable / Energy / Aeronautical / Similar specialization
Competencies / Key Skills Required
1. Extensive working experience in Wind Resource Assessment software like WindPRO, WAsP, WAsP Engineering or equivalents
2. Advanced communication and presentation skills
3. Advanced MS excel skills
4. Experience in working with high frequency data and big data
5. Good with Data analytics
6. Work in a structured and systematic way and have a consistent attention to detail, enabling you to meet deadline.
7. Critical thinking mindset
