JOB DETAIL
Responsible to Open Work orders as per Production plan & oversees that materials are delivered to floor in a timely manner, over sees the Production control transactions at plant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review the weekly production plan & open WOS ae per the confirmed schedule.
2. Material Availability checking before releasing the WO.
3. Generate and issue work orders based on production schedules and customer demand.
4. Meeting with buyer to expedite materials for issuing the same which are due to WOS
5. Collaborate with production supervisors and teams to ensure work orders are executed correctly and on time, monitor production progress as per schedule , identify potential delays, and take corrective actions to maintain meet production deadlines
6. Prepare priority list & send to IQC to clear the RM which are required for production
7. Review the WO cost history report before closing the WOS with backorder quantity as Zero.
8. Coordinating efficiently with supervisor for materials transfer between WO's
9. Supervision on excessive materials returning to Warehouse.
10. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste
11. Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including production teams, supervisors, and management, to align goals and objectives.
12. Production Scheduling:
13. Develop, manage, and monitor production schedules based on orders, inventory, and equipment availability.
14. Adjust schedules to account for changes in customer orders, resource availability, or other constraints.
15. Inventory Management:
16. Track raw material, component, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
17. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely arrival of materials for production.
18. Capacity Planning:
19. Evaluate production capacity and make recommendations for resource adjustments to meet production goals.
20. Identify potential bottlenecks in the production process and implement solutions.
21. Coordination and Communication:
22. Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow and identify issues proactively.
23. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to keep them updated on lead times, delays, and any other relevant information.
24. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
25. Track and report key performance metrics (KPIs) such as production output, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
26. Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field is often preferred, but equivalent experience can be consider.
Previous experience in production management, work order coordination, or similar roles is highly beneficial. Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
