Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA) Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and analyzing road load data for the development and validation of exhaust systems in the automotive industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and durability of our products by accurately capturing real-world operating conditions.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and execute road load data acquisition campaigns for various vehicle types and driving conditions.
• Select and install appropriate sensors, including accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, and pressure transducers, on test vehicles.
• Configure and operate data loggers and acquisition systems to capture high-quality data.
• Calibrate and maintain sensors and instrumentation.
• Develop and implement data processing and analysis techniques, including data filtration, noise reduction, and signal conditioning.
• Analyze road load data to identify trends, anomalies, and critical operating conditions.
• Generate comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing data findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineers from other departments, such as design, analysis, and testing, to ensure successful product development.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in road load data acquisition technologies and methodologies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or masters degree in Mechanical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-6 years of professional experience in road load data acquisition for exhaust systems in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of sensors, data loggers, potentiometers, and other instrumentation commonly used in automotive testing.
• Expertise in data acquisition systems and software like N-code Glyph works , Ansys design life , N- Code fatigue
• Proficiency in data analysis techniques, including data filtration, noise reduction, and signal conditioning.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Ansys design life, N-Code fatigue , N-Code Glyph Works or other data analysis software.
• Knowledge of Python programming added advantage
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control systems.
• Experience with GPS tracking and mapping software.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for road load data acquisition.
