Designation: Enterprise Solution Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance enterprise solutions, with a strong emphasis on security, using Liferay DXP and other leading Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in web architecture, Java/J2EE, microservices, and cloud technologies. This role requires a proven ability to translate business requirements into robust and secure technical solutions, providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and performance optimization to ensure seamless digital experiences. A strong focus on security best practices is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture: Architect, design, and develop robust and scalable enterprise solutions leveraging various Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs).
• Standards and Best Practices: Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines for development teams, considering the specific nuances of different DXP platforms.
• Solution Design Leadership: Lead end-to-end solution design, encompassing portal architecture, content management, integrations, security considerations, performance optimization, and platform-specific features.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to gather requirements, define system specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives, considering the capabilities and limitations of chosen DXPs.
• Microservices Development: Design and implement microservices-based, modular, and scalable solutions, adhering to best practices for service orchestration and intercommunication, and integrating seamlessly with DXP platforms.
• DXP Development (Liferay & Others): Develop custom components, extensions, themes, and integrations for chosen DXPs, enhancing platform functionality and tailoring it to specific business needs. Demonstrate expertise in the unique development paradigms of different DXP platforms.
• API Integration: Design and implement API integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) with external systems, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange, and leveraging the API capabilities of chosen DXPs.
• Performance Optimization: Implement strategies for high availability, performance tuning, caching, and security hardening to meet stringent performance and security requirements across different DXP environments.
• DevOps and Cloud Deployment: Oversee CI/CD implementation, DevOps automation, and cloud deployment strategies, leveraging infrastructure-as-code principles and considering the deployment models of different DXPs.
• Technical Leadership and Mentoring: Conduct technical reviews, provide mentorship and training to development teams, and foster a culture of technical excellence, encompassing expertise across multiple DXP platforms.
• Security Focus: Champion security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This includes a deep understanding of authentication, authorization, data encryption, and vulnerability mitigation, tailored to the security features of different DXPs.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements, patches, security enhancements, and emerging technologies across various DXP platforms to ensure solutions are built using the most current and secure approaches.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Liferay DXP (7.x and above) development, custom development, and architecture design.
• Deep expertise in Liferay core architecture, portal development, content management, and security features.
• Experience with other leading DXPs: Hands-on experience with at least one other major DXP platform. Demonstrate understanding of their architecture, features, and development practices.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on expertise in Liferay workflow engine, SAML, OAuth, and LDAP authentication.
• Experience with database design and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of security best practices: Deep knowledge of security protocols (JWT, OAuth 2.0), authorization mechanisms (role-based access control), data encryption, and common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Experience with performance tuning tools and technologies (e.g., ElasticSearch, Apache Kafka, Redis).
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team mentoring capabilities.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Liferay Developer Certification is a plus. Certifications in other DXP platforms are highly desirable.
