The job duties typically include:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs)

Monitoring network traffic for potential security breaches and taking preventive measures to address identified threats

Performing regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses in the network

Developing and implementing security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information

Responding to security incidents and investigations, including forensic analysis and recovery efforts

Staying informed of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and updating security measures accordingly

Collaborating with other IT and security professionals to develop and implement integrated security strategies
