Job Description

Job Title: General Manager (Marketing and Coordination) Location: Noida, Sector 5
Job Summary: We are actively seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking General Manager (Marketing and Coordination) to take charge of our company’s marketing and operational coordination functions. As a key leadership position within our electrical panel manufacturing company, this role focuses on ensuring seamless synchronization between key departments—design, costing, sales, commercial, procurement, and production—while excluding direct oversight of production unit operations. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in aligning operations with customer requirements, maintaining high standards of service and quality, and driving ongoing operational enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership and Team Management:
    • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to optimize coordination between business functions and meet organizational goals.
    • Lead and inspire a cross-functional team to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide clear direction and ensure alignment with the company's vision and objectives.

  1. Reporting and Management Information Systems (MIS):
    • Serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for the top management regarding matters related to production planning, deliveries, and operational status.
    • Regularly generate and analyze comprehensive MIS reports to provide valuable insights to directors, ensuring informed decision-making.

  1. Production Coordination and Oversight:
    • Partner with the works team to oversee production planning, ensuring the efficient and timely manufacturing of electrical panels.
    • Address operational challenges proactively while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality benchmarks.

  1. Supply Chain and Procurement Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely availability of materials and components essential for production.
    • Collaborate closely with the supply chain management (SCM) team to achieve optimal procurement outcomes and avoid bottlenecks.

  1. Operational Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements, streamline workflows, and introduce innovative practices to enhance overall efficiency.
    • Drive initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining or improving product quality and service levels.

  1. Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
    • Prepare and monitor operational budgets, ensuring financial discipline and efficient resource allocation.
    • Manage receivables and vendor payments to maintain healthy cash flow and financial stability.

  1. Customer Relationship Management and Satisfaction:
    • Act as a liaison between sales, customer service, and operational teams to understand and fulfill customer requirements.
    • Resolve customer complaints promptly, maintaining positive client relationships and safeguarding the company’s reputation.

  1. Team Development and Talent Management:
    • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their technical and managerial competencies.
    • Promote employee engagement and ensure proper training to align individual performance with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; additional certifications or a master’s degree would be advantageous.
  • At least 15 years of proven experience in operations management, with a significant portion of that time spent in the electrical panel manufacturing industry.
  • Comprehensive techno-commercial knowledge encompassing design, costing, bidding, billing, and supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams and fostering a performance-driven culture.
