Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Jalana Redevelopment Project. This role involves managing, designing, and executing electrical works for public building constructions, railway infrastructure, and highway infrastructure. The candidate should have a deep understanding of electrical systems in large-scale projects and the ability to oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems

Role & responsibilities

• Project Execution: Oversee the execution of electrical works, ensuring the timely and efficient installation of systems for public buildings, railway infrastructure, and highway projects.
• Assisting in Project Implementation: Assist the Authority in implementing the project from the stage of verification/establishment of reference points and data provided by the Authority and/or as mentioned in the EPC Agreement, to the successful completion of all works.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety at work sites, including the safety of running trains, people, structures, and properties adjacent to the work sites, by suggesting and deploying proper methods in line with contract conditions and safety regulations.
• Verification and Supervision: Conduct proper verification and supervision of electrical works in accordance with the provisions, regulations, policies, procedures, Ministry of Railways' rules, local laws, and contractual obligations.
• Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of the completed electrical systems to the Authority or its authorized representative.
• Preparation of Documentation: Assist in the preparation of "as built/completion" drawings, required applications, and documents for obtaining necessary approvals and sanctions, such as from the Commissioner of Railway Safety and Government Electrical Inspector.
• Coordination with Contractors: Supervise the work done by contractors, arrange for traffic blocks as necessary, and make measurements of work completed to arrange payments to contractors.
• Project Monitoring: Ensure all works are completed within the specified project time schedule, ensuring overall economy, functionality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Interaction and Coordination: Liaise and coordinate with authorized representatives of Railway Administration, governmental bodies, and other agencies involved in the project.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines, including those set by the Ministry of Railways and other regulatory bodies.
• Cost Control: Effect various recoveries, including statutory and other deductions, from the running bills of the concerned contractors.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:
• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (5+ years of experience) OR
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in electrical engineering for public buildings, railway, or highway infrastructure projects.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, especially railway/highway works, preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and systems (low, medium, and high voltage).
• Project Management:
• Ability to manage tasks, coordinate with teams, and meet deadlines.
• Communication:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
