We are hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Security Engineer to play a crucial role in protecting our organization's IT infrastructure and network, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing robust security measures to safeguard data and systems
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and respond effectively to emerging threats
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive security architecture framework that aligns with the organization's overall IT strategy and business goals
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices (e g , ISO 27001, NIST)
Design and implement security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and endpoint protection
Continuously monitor security systems, networks, and applications for vulnerabilities, security breaches, and suspicious activities
Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of security controls and identify areas for improvement
Work closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC) to analyze logs and alerts
Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
Conduct forensic analysis to determine the root cause of breaches or vulnerabilities
Collaborate with IT teams to mitigate risks and implement recovery strategies
Apply security patches and updates to systems and software as needed
Design and implement security controls for AWS, Azure, Google Workspace
Conduct training sessions to educate employees about phishing, cyber scams, malware, and other security risks
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and technologies
Required Skills
Experience with firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
Software Engineering background with knowledge of scripting languages (e g , Python, Bash)
Proficient in vulnerability management tools and penetration testing frameworks
Familiarity with cloud security and hybrid IT environments is advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
Possess one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, GIAC or any relevant certification from a reputed organization
