Piping Engineer

Major Responsibilities:
System Layout and Design: Creating detailed layouts, schematics, and drawings of firefighting systems using AutoCAD software. This involves designing the layout of firefighting system, (Sprinkler system, fire Hydrant system, Fire Alarm system) piping, valves, and other components to ensure effective coverage and compliance with regulations.
Designing Piping: Designing the layout of pipes, valves & fittings, for fire suppression systems, ensuring proper flow, pressure, and distribution of water or extinguishing agents.

• Knowledge about codes- NFPA, IS Codes. Sprinkler system, fire Hydrant system, Fire Alarm system
• Preparation of drawings/Layout- Sprinkler system, fire Hydrant system, Fire Alarm system.

• Reviewing Design Specifications: Reviewing project specifications, requirements, and design criteria to ensure that fire protection designs meet project objectives, client needs, and performance expectations.
Bill of Materials (BOM): Creating detailed bills of materials (BOMs) for firefighting system components, including quantities, specifications, and pricing information. This facilitates procurement and construction planning.
Documentation and Reporting: Generating comprehensive design documentation, reports, and drawings for firefighting system projects. This includes preparing design submittals, technical specifications, and as-built documentation for record-keeping and future reference.
Fire and Safety knowledge-Familiar with fire protection / MEP/ EPC project industry.

• Use of Email and ERP System like SAP B1 in CRM Module is must.

• Completes firefighting, fire alarm and life safety/Protection system drawings utilizing current NFPA &NBC codes and standard projects specifications, manufacturers recommendations and best practices from industry.
• Has strong working knowledge of Auto CAD /BIM Modelling For the purpose of engineering and application of firefighting, Fire alarm and suppression systems.
