Bid Writer

Our client is a specialist bid consultancy operating within the retrofit sector of the construction industry in the UK. Our focus is on supporting clients to create compelling and compliant bids for projects that improve domestic properties. We are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to join our team and help us deliver high-quality, winning proposals.

Role & responsibilities

• Bid Writing: Draft and assemble high-quality bid submissions, including Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Invitations to Tender (ITTs).
• Content Development: Work closely with internal teams to gather information, develop bespoke responses, and articulate the clients value proposition effectively.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research on clients, competitors, and project requirements to craft bids that meet client expectations and stand out from the competition.
• Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit all documentation to maintain accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Excellent Writing Skills: A strong command of the English language, with the ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive content.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Industry Knowledge: Experience within the construction industry, particularly with domestic properties.
• Graphic Design is desired but not a must: Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Photoshop) to create visually appealing bid documents.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and professionalism in all documents.
• Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
