eClerx - Functional Expert - Product Development - PIM Products (5-7 yrs)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced PIM Functional Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of a next-generation Product Information Management (PIM) product.

As a PIM Functional Expert, you will play a key role in defining the functional requirements, architecture, and features of the product, ensuring it meets the needs of users and businesses alike.

You will work closely with sales team, developers, UX/UI designers, and technical architects to design and implement features that empower businesses to manage their product data more efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PIM, a strong understanding of product data management workflows, and hands-on experience in product development.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Requirements Definition:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and customers to define the functional requirements and features of the PIM product.

- Analyze market trends, user feedback, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.

- Create detailed user stories, use cases, and functional specifications to guide the development of the PIM product.

PIM System Architecture & Design:

- Work with technical architects and development teams to design the PIM system's functionality, ensuring it meets user needs and aligns with product goals.

- Define product data models, workflows, and taxonomies for efficient product information management and content enrichment.

- Provide functional expertise in integrating the PIM system with other enterprise systems (e. , ERP, DAM, CMS, eCommerce platforms).

Product Development Lifecycle:

- Lead the functional design process during the product development lifecycle, ensuring that features are built in alignment with business goals.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure features are built according to requirements and meet high-quality standards.

- Conduct functional testing, review test results, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure product features meet business and user needs.

User Experience and Interface Design:

- Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure that the PIM product is user-friendly, intuitive, and meets the needs of both technical and non-technical users.

- Advocate for features that improve the usability of the PIM system, focusing on optimizing workflows for product data entry, enrichment, and distribution.

System Integration & APIs:

- Collaborate with the development team to define and implement integration points for the PIM product with third-party applications (e., ERP, CRM, DAM, marketing platforms).

- Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization across all integrated systems, enabling accurate and consistent product data across channels.

- Design and document APIs and integration protocols to allow other applications to connect and exchange data with the PIM product.

Product Launch and Support:

- Oversee the launch of new product features, ensuring that documentation, training, and support materials are ready for internal and external users.

- Provide ongoing support for the PIM product, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the system evolves to meet changing business needs.

- Act as a subject matter expert, offering support to customers, internal teams, and stakeholders in the use and optimization of the PIM product.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in product management or functional roles related to PIM, Product Data Management (PDM), or digital product development.

- Proven experience in the development, configuration, or implementation of PIM solutions (e., Akeneo, Stibo Systems, inRiver, SAP Hybris, or custom-built PIM systems).

- Experience in defining product requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for a software product.

- Strong understanding of product information workflows, data models, and taxonomy structures.

Soft Skills:

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, including product managers, developers, business users, and customers.

- Proven ability to balance business needs with technical constraints, delivering functional requirements that align with the product vision.

- A strong problem-solver with the ability to think critically and strategically about product design and development.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience in developing PIM products from the ground up or managing major PIM product enhancements.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.

Experience with product data modeling, content management, and digital asset management (DAM)
