Ruby on Rails Developer - Backend Architecture (5-17 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for eCommerce projects.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.

- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

- Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic, utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing software.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve development processes.

- Hands-on experience with AWS and its services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda for cloud application deployment and management.

- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Experience integrating and managing Authorize.Net payment gateway for transaction processing and subscription billing in Ruby on Rails applications.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.

- Proven experience working on eCommerce projects with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
