Data and/or Records Management is responsible for designing and driving the execution of the data strategy at Group and Divisional/functional level as well as coordinating adherence to Data and/or Records related processes and policies and any applicable local regulations.
Work includes:
Designing effective Data and/or Records Management policies and processes which support the data strategy whilst enabling risk reduction and compliance with Data and/or Records related regulatory requirements.
Setting and overseeing the execution of the Data Strategy, delivery roadmap and KPI at Group, Divisional/Functional and Regional level.
Taking responsibility and accountability for the identification, assessment, improvement and governance of quality and fitness-for-purpose of the banks Data assets and/or Records.
Ensuring that the banks Data and/or Records Management frameworks are operational within the business divisions and/or infrastructure functions.
Ensuring adequacy of data sharing, access, retention and disposal for area of accountability, in accordance to the bank s defined processes.
Serving as trustees to ensure adequate data quality controls and data architecture are in place so that data can effectively support business processes.
Assessing the current state of data quality within their scope of responsibility, transparently monitoring and reporting on data quality levels to impacted stakeholders and engaging with business and leadership to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues and identify and track remediation plan.
Establishing target goals for data quality improvement and identifying optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues to achieve targets.

Your key responsibilities
Maintaining the divisional view of system data requirements, data lineage, reflecting deltas from the metadata sources, and executing the certification process with Data Stewards using tools such as Collibra, Waltz and Solidatus
Working knowledge of relevant reporting tooling (Tableau, Qlik Sense). The ideal candidate would have several years of experience in developing complex visualization dashboards using these tools
Demonstrable ability to utilise tools for building and running queries across large datasets using tools (Pentaho, Hue, or SQL) is a plus; Practical coding experience in Python is also a plus
Strong analytical mindset and motivated to work in data management; Ability to articulate issues in a structured manner, and undertake root cause analysis of problem areas
Willing to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision; Successful stakeholder management with excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical business colleagues
Experience in interpreting regulatory guidelines would be an advantage
Your skills and experience
University degree and 6+ years of work experience in data management
Experience of working in Financial Services preferably within Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance or other Non-Financial Risk area
Ability to appropriately partner with colleagues across different functions, locations levels.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and virtual working groups
