Role:
- We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive professional to lead the functions of budgeting, planning, monthly goal setting, reviews, and forecasting.
- This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop financial strategies, monitor performance, and provide insights to drive business growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Budgeting and Financial Planning:
- Develop, monitor, and manage annual and quarterly budgets to align with organizational objectives.
- Ensure budgetary compliance and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare variance analyses and provide recommendations to address discrepancies.
2. Monthly Goals Setting and Monitoring:
- Collaborate with department heads to define and set measurable monthly goals.
- Track progress against goals and recommend actionable strategies for improvement.
- Ensure alignment of goals with the organization's overall vision and strategy.
3. Reviews and Reporting:
- Conduct monthly performance reviews with department leads to evaluate budget utilization and goal achievement.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and KPIs for senior management.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose corrective measures.
4. Forecasting and Financial Analysis:
- Analyze historical data to predict future trends and financial performance.
- Create financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and mitigate risks.
5. Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning by providing financial insights and market analysis.
- Design and implement processes to improve operational efficiency and performance tracking.
- Align planning efforts with evolving industry trends and business priorities.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with sales, marketing, operations, and HR teams to align financial goals with departmental objectives.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing financial operations, including vendor payments, account reconciliations, and audits.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop financial reports and present findings to senior management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
