Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in dairy farm management or a similar role.
• Knowledge of animal husbandry, herd health, and dairy production processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in farm management software and record-keeping systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Herd Management:

• Oversee the health, nutrition, and breeding of dairy cattle.
• Monitor milk production and maintain quality standards.
• Implement and manage vaccination and disease prevention programs.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers.
• Create work schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Foster a positive and safe work environment.

Farm Operations:

• Manage feeding schedules, grazing, and milking routines.
• Maintain farm equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and animal welfare regulations.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of milk production, herd health, breeding, and finances.
• Prepare reports for management or regulatory authorities.

Financial Management:

• Monitor farm expenses and manage budgets.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Sustainability Practices:

• Implement sustainable farming practices to enhance soil health and minimize environmental impact.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
