Creation of technology roadmaps and execution of research and development work in the area of Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) with a focus on the transition of technologies from concepts to products and/or services for licensing.
Lead technical participation in Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) to defend Dolby s existing innovation and lead the innovation process for contributing to future standards.
Work hands on in generation of new innovations in WPT, build working prototypes (hardware, software, communication protocols) to demonstrate Dolby s technology in wireless power consortium Plugfests and Tech try-outs.
Analyze the WPC standards (qi, Hi and any future standards) and worldwide regulatory/enforcement environments to identify gap areas relative to the current state of art and develop a plan to address the gaps with future standard. Work with Dolby team to develop and make high quality contributions towards this future standards work.
Build or augment the WPT Lab capability driven by Safety and Quality considerations. Assist in finding/securing a new WPT lab site and facilities.
Prioritize proactively the technology development workflow based on the dynamics in standard development organization.
Facilitate filing and prosecuting Patents (including but not limited to Standard Essential Patents). Coordinate with patent experts, licensing professionals about developing Dolbys licensing business opportunities, pool licensing program prospects.
