Office/Project Boosting demand for routine immunization and reducing zero dose children
Minimum of 7 years of experience of working in the social sector, on SBC, communications and documentation.
Post graduate in public health/social sciences with communications or media studies PGDM/certification.
At least 2 years Experience of working on health programs especially immunization is required. Experience of working with government health systems is an asset.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and support implementation of SBCC strategies to increase awareness and demand for routine immunization services among target populations.
Collaborate with health authorities, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure SBCC activities align with community needs, program goals and objectives.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of SBCC activities, including strategies implemented, materials developed, and outcomes achieved.
Prepare regular reports/ capture success stories/identify case studies/positive deviance stories and report on progress, challenges, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
Utilize data to monitor trends in various child health issues including immunisation uptake and inform evidence-based decision-making.
Developing knowledge and practise indicators to collect relevant data on immunization behavior and coverage rates before and after SBCC interventions.
Analyzing data to measure changes in community awareness, attitudes, and practices related to immunization.
Assessing the results of SBCC strategies on immunization uptake and coverage in target populations.
Monitor SBCC implementation to ensure adherence to timelines, assessing impact on immunization behavior and coverage rates for strategic adjustments.
Conduct regular visits to UPHCs and community sites to provide technical assistance and support to SBCC teams and health workers.
Train and build capacity of local stakeholders in SBCC methodologies, and data reporting. Build capacities of government and dept functionaries to understand SBCC and plan for the same. Advocate for increased community engagement and participation in routine immunization
through SBCC activities. Coordinate and collaborate closely with UNICEF SBC programme specialist for implementation
of program design Maintain close coordination with Monitoring and Reporting Officer to ensure alignment of field
information in the Monitoring reports. Maintain high standards of quality, ethics, and integrity in all aspects of program
