Job Description
- Designing and implementing scalable data storage solutions, such as Hadoop and NoSQL databases
- Developing and maintaining big data processing pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark and Apache Storm
- Writing and testing data processing scripts using languages such as Python and Scala
- Integrating big data solutions with other IT systems and data sources
- Collaborating with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and identify opportunities for data-driven decision making
- Ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive data
- Monitoring performance and optimizing big data systems to ensure they meet performance and availability requirements
- Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in big data and data engineering
- Mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance as needed
- Documenting and communicating technical designs, solutions, and best practices
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
