QUEST Alliance has been working with the secondary schools across 9 states in India implementing the IBM STEM For Girls programme. The programme focussed on developing 21st century skills and STEM Mindset among the adolescent girls and support them in carving a journey to continue education beyond secondary grades but also to take up a career in STEM field.
Position Overview:
The District Officer will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the program within the district. This role involves regular monitoring through school visits, building strong relationships with district and block officials, and managing the district team. The District Officer will also be responsible in developing connections with local media, mapping resources, and maintaining thorough documentation. The ideal candidate will be holding the plan for the districts in achieving the vision and meeting targets of the project
Roles and Responsibilities
Timely and effective delivery of sessions
Program Monitoring and Implementation:
Conduct regular school visits within the district to monitor and observe the implementation of the program.
Ensure that program activities are executed as planned and provide on-the-ground support to the team as needed.
Identify any challenges in implementation and work collaboratively to find solutions.
Lead the facilitation of all innovation activities in the district and build master trainer cascading strategy with educators and ensure that there is strongly in the district with both DEO and KREIS educational departments
Ensure identification of master trainers in the district , handhold and support master trainers in their cascade journey throughout the district .
Ensure targeted modules of MasterCoach for teachers course is completed by all the targeted teachers in all 22 schools .
Organise and facilitate hackathon journey from school to district level through share out events
Coordinate with career partners and hackathon consultants to facilitate collaboration and implement the program collectively.
Support the state in Community of Practice ( COP) strategy . Ensure creation of COP for the district and ensuring participation of selected teachers in the COP .
Engage with COP teachers via whatsapp engagement by ensuring effective whatsapp engagement plan .
Hands on with the sector / module content and learning outcomes
. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the state officials , district officials, and block officials to secure their ongoing support and collaboration.
Identify and build relationships with the educators , school heads and government officials within the district to strengthen the program s presence and impact.
Ensure effective planning of the project deliverables in the district and meeting the deliverables in the project period .
Identify and engage with the media in the district to influence the positive impact of the work in schools.
Relationship management- students and internal team
Team Management and Support:
Manage and support the district team, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to perform effectively.
Provide leadership and foster a collaborative team environment.
Be the point person for district and support in coordination with visits planned for internal external stakeholders
Provide handholding support to the team implementing the program activities in schools.
Reporting
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all documents and communications related to program implementation in the district.
Ensure that documentation is organized and accessible for reference and reporting purposes.
Review and Reporting:
Conduct monthly reviews with district and block officials to assess progress, address challenges, and plan for future activities.
Prepare and submit reports on program implementation and outcomes as required.
Work collaboratively with MnE SPOC for the state ensure data is updated for the district.
Ensure quarterly program implementation reports are submitted to district officials and block officials
Identify case stories and feed it into the state Marcomm repository of Quest Alliance
Support in the state reviews
Work in timely manner with Edtech PoC and issues resolution according to SoP
Skill Sets:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and vernacular of the state
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound operational decisions
Strong team player able to work under own initiative
Ability to network and build relationship with the Government and Non government organisations
Proficient in MS Office tools and Internet
