Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Proprietary Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in monitoring and managing trading risks, including Scenario VAR, Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta), and Mark-to-Market (MTM) losses.

Key Responsibilities:

Calculate and monitor Scenario VAR, Greeks, exposures, hedging positions, and MTM losses.

Create and update risk policy guidelines in alignment with management changes.

Value at Risk (VaR):

Calculate daily VaR for traders involved in directional, volatility, and arbitrage trades.
Manage Deltas and coordinate with traders.

Coordinate with dealers to manage and reduce exposures, unhedged positions, Greeks, and MTM violations.

Analyze Profit and Loss MIS for all PROP traders and act on management decisions.

Policy Drafting:

Collaborate with the PROP Business Head to draft risk policies covering products like Volatility Trading (IV) and Index Arbitrage.

Define and strategize capital allocation and VAR at dealer and member levels; report violations.

Real-Time Monitoring:

Oversee member limits and options trading.
Monitor trading strategies employed by traders.

Cross-Department Coordination:

Work with IT, risk, operational, HR, compliance, and algo vendor teams to resolve issues.

Verify real-time MTM calculations and fund utilization; reallocate funds as needed.

Set up alerts for banned scrips, MTM, fund overutilization, and unhedged positions.

Manage funds and coordinate with banks.

Maintain MIS reports to manage firm exposure in compliance with SEBI regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in risk management, particularly in proprietary trading environments.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk management systems.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
