We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our company s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Server Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual) and related hardware and software.
Monitor server performance, identify and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates.
Implement and maintain server security measures (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
Network Administration:
Manage and maintain network infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Implement and maintain network security policies.
User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users on hardware and software issues.
Assist with user account management and access control.
Troubleshoot user-related problems and provide timely resolutions.
Security:
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
Monitor security logs and respond to security incidents.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all IT systems and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 9 years of professional experience in systems administration.
Strong understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified).
