Job Summary :

As a Senior Software Engineer - QA(Performance Testing) at DigiCert, you will be a key contributor to our quality assurance team, ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of our software products.

You will play a crucial role in automating testing processes, improving test coverage, and maintaining high-quality software releases.

What you will do :

- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and architects to understand project requirements and technical specifications.

- Plan and implement various types of testing, including manual, regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, and performance tests.

- Develop and maintain a test automation framework to reduce testing time through automation.

- Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process.

- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects and provide timely solutions to customer issues.

- Promote quality and testing best practices among development teams, reviewing test plans for automation test coverage.

- Stay update-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development processes and tools.

- Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive technical innovation within the team.

What you will have :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 5 9 years of experience in Performance testing for API and Web applications.

- Must have 5 years in Python scripting language and Selenium.

- Working experience in Performance/Load Testing using Locust or K6.

- Work closely with Product Management, Development and Architect teams to understand the Performance requirements and strategy.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and an aptitude for improvements in product performance and its various aspects.

- Demonstrated ability to build strong internal, external relationships for the team.

- Work in an efficient environment to research, automate and troubleshoot performance related work.

- You will need to develop a fair understanding of the overall architecture of the product and be valued member of the performance team with required cross-functional interactions.

- Be able guide the team for scope for performance evaluation of the products for a feature or the release; and get it executed till the final product performance evaluations and reports.

- Knowledge of both relational (MySQL or MariaDB).

- Strong understanding of test design, planning, execution, defect reporting and tracking.

- Experience in both automated and manual web applications and web service API testing.

- Proficiency in GitHub Actions and CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins.

- Previous experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle OCI) is a plus.
