KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development and Strategy
- Drive market intelligence and competitive analysis to develop sales strategy and to ensure increase in
market shares & revenue growth
- Lead resource allocation and governance to achieve optimum utilisation of manpower
and core • Develop sales targets at all levels in alignment with organisational goals
- Guide the team to ensure sound understanding of sales strategy
- Establish performance objectives and ensure their effective delivery
- Create sales incentive plans to motivate team to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Review performance of the team to ensure business hygiene in maintained across sales
processes • Drive strategic change initiatives to increase market share and revenue
growth
Sales Management
- Develop systems and processes tailored to market needs and monitor their adoption • Foster digital culture by leveraging digital technologies, such as dashboards, for data-driven decision-making and effective review meetings and other change management activities
- Share insights from marketing team with Zonal Business Managers on areas for sales improvement
- Partner with the marketing team for the effective cycle meetings and address training needs to be addressed
- Oversee sales performance and implementation of marketing activities by regular reviews
- Allocate manpower/budgets to optimise resource utilisation and drive reliable retail chemist prescription audit (RCPA)
- Lead channel management for Independent Diabetes Center and Cardiac Care Center • Oversee the availability of stocks and approve product discounts/promotion plans for clearance of near-expiry products.
- Oversee accurate evaluation and appointment of stockists in accordance with USV's policies and practices • Guide in forecasting of new and existing brands accurately and submit the business plan Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead collaborative projects across regions, partnering with all divisions and National Business Managers
- Lead negotiations at national and zonal conferences to foster Impactful collaboration
People and Culture
- Promote and embody the USV Credo
- Cultivate a strong team culture; centered on collaboration, transparency and inclusivity • Drive differential recruitment and induction to ensure job fit and culture fit candidates are onboarded within timelines
- Resolve people issues and conflicts, provide guidance to achieve harmonious and productive work environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Professional Experience and Relevant Skills
- Must have minimum of 16 years of overall experience in Pharma Sales
- Must possess leadership and strategic planning skills with resilience and reliability, excel in
communication and networking, analytical mindset, manage teams with empathy, and demonstrate financial acumen and excellent project management
Academic Qualifications & Certifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Science (BSc) Graduate
- Relevant Certifications: Advanced Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sales Management or relevant certificates
