Python Fastapi Developer

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Python FastAPI Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications while ensuring seamless data flow between the server and users. As part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements into robust back-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reusable, testable, and efficient code using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and implement scalable, high-availability applications with low-latency performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic with user-facing elements.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and migrations.
• Implement security best practices, including user authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance across various delivery platforms (e.g., desktop, mobile).
• Conduct database migrations and manage data storage solutions efficiently.
• Debug, test, and maintain the application to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with team members on code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Python development, with a strong focus on FastAPI.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, database management, and migrations.
• Strong knowledge of ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy.
• Understanding of Pythons threading limitations and multi-process architecture.
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with server-side templating engines (e.g., Jinja2).
• Solid understanding of API design principles and RESTful web services.
• Knowledge of user authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong debugging and unit testing skills.
• Understanding of accessibility, security compliance, and best practices for scalable applications.
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
• Experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and asynchronous programming.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
