Servify - DevOps Engineer - AWS (2-4 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.

- Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).

- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.

- Strong experience with SQL and MariaDB (NoSQL experience is a plus, too ,since we also use Redis, Mongo).

- Good understanding of Web Servers, Databases and their Optimization parameters.

- A working understanding of code and script(PHP, Python, Shell, NodeJS).

- Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud-based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.

- Build, release and configuration management of production systems.

- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent.

- Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.

- Ensuring critical system security using best-in-class cloud security solutions.

- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.

Essential Requirements :

- Min 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.

- 2+ years experience with using a broad range of AWS Services

- Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.

- Hands on experience on AWS for creating new account, setup which includes VPC, Load Balancer, Target group etc.

- Strong scripting Skills : e. Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.

- Experience with system monitoring tools

- Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences.

- Understanding of Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana (ELK)stack.

- Good understanding of tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, etc.

Nice to have :

- Experience with containerization

- Certification in AWS or related cloud computing technologies
