Hardware Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design power electronics hardware such as DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, and control circuits.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, select components (e.g., DIODE, TRANSISTOR, MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, transformers), and create PCB layouts using Altium.
• Perform thermal management, EMI/EMC, and stress analysis to ensure design reliability and compliance with standards.
• Build and test prototypes to validate performance, identifying and resolving issues related to circuit behavior, thermal management, and efficiency.
• Develop testing protocols and use lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads) to verify that the hardware meets performance specifications.
• Integrate power electronics hardware into larger systems and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams for smooth integration.
• Address design challenges related to layout, grounding, shielding, and noise to optimize system performance.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test reports, and design specifications.
