Design Engineer-BIW

Role & responsibilities

• Candidate should have min 4+ Years in BIW (Body-in-White) Design of structural components (e.g.Door Panels / Body Side Panel/Upper body / Underbody Panels)
• Must have strong experience in design of passenger car body components like Roof, Floor, Side body outer/inner, doors, closures etc.
• Knowledge of BIW DVPs & Testing specification
• Knowledge in Homologation & Crash standard
• Must have relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various parts.
• Should have knowledge and understanding of Tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Should be able to prepare deliver presentations of the Concepts
• Extensive experience in design and development of 1. BIW 2. Trims 3.Exterior Trims 4. Soft Trims 5. Chassis systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive standards, safety requirements and regulations.
• Minimum 5 years experience in New Part Development.
• Strong communication skill is mandatory to handle Program Stake Holders & Suppliers.
• Exceptional CATIA V5 Skills.
• Good Knowledge in Teamcenter Engineering & Vismockup.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.

BIW:

• A deep understanding of BIW engineering principles.
• Understanding of Design rules, standards, and regulations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work without supervision.
