Deputy Manager - OEM,GRS,GFS, PTF

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Should be able to review GA Drawing and detailed fabrication drawings using 2D AUTOCAD.
• Should be able to design Pressure vessels (external and Internal pressure) and components including shell, dish ends jackets, limpet coils, Leg supports, Lug supports, Skirt or saddle supports, lifting lugs/ trunnions as per ASME Sec VIII and other international standards.
• Should be able to prepare and review detailed Bill of materials from the drawings.
• Should have complete knowledge of standards used for pipes (schedule pipes, tubes etc.), sheet metal material specifications, flanges and their pressure ratings, bolting and threaded fasteners, gaskets, instrument connectors etc. and be able to specify appropriate standards.
• Knowledge of various grades of stainless steels & their fabrication procedures & welding consumables used.
• Should be able to co-ordination with Customer / external design consultants to realize approvals on various engineering released documents.
• Should be a Team player and be able to guide people under him. He will have to take full responsibility for the accuracy and correctness of drawings prepared by self and sub-ordinates.
• Should be able to estimate manhours required for drawing and design work, plan the work and execute the same strictly as per agreed schedule.
• Knowledge of Piping software and Preparation of isometric piping drawings and P&IDs (Process and instrument diagrams) is added advantage.
• Should be conversant with design calculations for wind loads, seismic loads for design of large vessels.
• Coordinate with external design agencies to provide the design data and to review and approve the work carried out by them for critical areas like Thermal stress analysis, wind load calculations and seismic load calculations, FEA etc.
• Participate in various internal kick off meetings
• Item / drawing review for new developments
• Implement new innovative ideas to improve efficiency of the department
• Optimize material requirement for the product & engineering
• Coordinate with other functions for effective & efficient execution of projects
