Scope
In this role as Hybris lead, they will act as lead developer, taking complete ownership of projects. They will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise to enhance, support, and drive initiatives related to Dentsply Sironas Hybris e-commerce platform. They display strong mentoring and coaching skills, guiding other team members, sharing technical knowledge, promoting development best practices, and helping elevate the skills of others. They will collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and contribute to optimizing development processes and release management.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead on Hybris projects - guide architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to developers - promote best practices, code quality, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements and devise optimal solutions.
- Drive initiatives related to Hybris platform enhancements, integration, and optimization.
- Contribute to improving development processes, release management, and cross-team collaboration.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Create technical specifications, API documentation, and other artifacts.
- Support expansion to new countries/markets by streamlining onboarding processes.
- Act as primary escalation point for critical production issues and cross-team coordination.
- Remain up to date on Hybris releases and new capabilities
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Proficient with Hybris platform

- Java, Spring Framework (MVC, REST), Microsoft SQL Server
- JUnit, Mockito
- Apache Solr, Apache HTTP Server
- Object-Oriented concepts, MVC Paradigm
- Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
- Agile methodology
- SDLC in JIRA/Confluence
Years and Type of Experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Hybris developer
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting Hybris e-commerce solutions.
- 4+ years of mentoring and guiding teams of developers on coding standards and best practices
- 3+ years of experience on collaborating with business and product teams to gather requirements.
- 4+ years of experience working on integrations between Hybris and other backend systems.
- 2+ years experience analyzing API using Postman.
Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities
- Extensive hands-on experience building solutions on the Hybris platform (4+ years)
- Strong Java development skills including Spring Framework, J2EE, OOP concepts.
- Understanding of e-commerce business processes, integration needs, and Hybris accelerators.
- Excellence in troubleshooting and debugging Hybris applications.
- Knowledge of Hybris extensibility features like custom extensions, impex, and web services.
- Familiarity with build tools like Ant, Git version control, and Atlassian tools
- Technical leadership skills - ability to guide architecture, design, and development.
- Mentoring skills - experience coaching and elevating skills of junior developers
- Communication skills - ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.
