Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Intern at Delaplex, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity, working alongside our experienced team to protect our organizations information systems. This internship is ideal for individuals who have a strong technical background in computer science or cybersecurity and are pursuing or have completed a masters degree in management or an MBA.
Key Responsibilities: - Security Monitoring: Assist in monitoring network traffic and system activities for potential security threats and anomalies.
- Threat Analysis: Support the analysis of security incidents to determine their impact and assist in developing strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Vulnerability Management: Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Incident Response: Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Security Audits: Support internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
- Documentation: Help maintain detailed records of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts.
- Security Awareness: Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and ensure the security of applications and systems.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Cybersecurity.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Masters in Management or MBA.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security technologies.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools and software.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security features.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security.
- Basic experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity.
