Job Description
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team to achieve project milestones and exceed customer expectations.
- Lead and manage functional safety activities in our projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support in the execution of functional safety assessments.
- Plan and coordinate functional safety assessment activities.
- Ensure that client requirements and project milestones are met.
- Perform complex functional safety assessments following standards such as ISO 26262 or other relevant standards.
- Verify closure of assessment findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Oversee the creation of detailed evaluation reports aligned with client milestones and applicable standards.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in functional safety assessment processes and propose initiatives to optimise the efficiency and quality of the teams work.
- Harmonize organization-specific rules and processes to comply with the requirements of ISO 26262-
- Deliver and conduct internal and external workshops and training in the field of Functional Safety and Security.
- Coordinate technical efforts between Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and AI domains.
- Support the sales team with product/project inputs (e.g. technical and quote estimates)
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in functional safety and ensure the company aligns with industry best practices.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in system/software/hardware design and development.
- Minimum 5 years of functional safety implementation in automotive ECU development.
- Deep knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or equivalents).
- Able to guide our team through the ISO certification process and achieve the certification completion on time.
- Experience with risk analysis, FMEDA, FTA, and other safety assessment methods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Leadership and experience with managing teams.
- Project and task coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken. Other languages are a plus.
