Role & responsibilities

• Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (AVD):
1. Design, deploy, and manage Azure VDI solutions to support remote work and virtual environments.
2. Ensure seamless user experiences by optimizing performance and reliability.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VDI deployments.
• Virtual Machines (VMs):
1. Provision, configure, and maintain Azure VMs to meet the needs of various applications and services.
2. Monitor VM performance and implement scaling strategies to handle varying workloads.
3. Ensure VMs are secure and compliant with organizational policies.
• Disks:
1. Manage Azure disk storage, including provisioning, scaling, and optimizing performance.
2. Implement backup and recovery solutions to protect data integrity.
3. Monitor disk usage and performance to prevent bottlenecks.
• API Management (APIM):
1. Implement and manage Azure API Management services to ensure secure and efficient API operations.
2. Design and enforce API policies to control access, monitor usage, and protect APIs.
3. Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs with various applications.
• Key Vaults:
1. Securely manage keys, secrets, and certificates using Azure Key Vault.
2. Implement access controls and auditing to ensure the security of sensitive information.
3. Automate key rotation and secret management processes.
• Private Endpoints:
1. Configure and manage Azure Private Endpoints to enhance security and connectivity.
2. Ensure secure communication between Azure resources and on-premises networks.
3. Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity issues related to private endpoints.
• Infrastructure Services:
1. Oversee other Azure infrastructure services, including networking, load balancing, and monitoring.
2. Design and implement network architectures to support scalable and secure applications.
3. Utilize Azure Monitor and other tools to track infrastructure performance and health.
• Automation:
1. Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Azure PowerShell, CLI, and ARM templates.
2. Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of human error.
3. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage and deploy resources consistently.
• Security:
1. Implement best practices for security and compliance, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
2. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
1. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
2. Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools to gain insights into system health.
3. Respond to incidents and outages promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaboration:
1. Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support and optimize cloud infrastructure.
2. Participate in cross-functional projects to deliver integrated solutions.
3. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates.
• DevOps Administration:
1. Set up and manage basic CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
2. Assist development teams with integrating code changes into the infrastructure.
3. Use version control systems like Git to manage and track code changes.
4. Monitor the performance of CI/CD pipelines and make basic improvements as needed.
5. Provide support for infrastructure-related issues in the CI/CD process.
• App Service Environment (ASE) Integration:
1. Design, deploy, and manage Azure App Service Environments to host web applications in a secure and isolated environment.
2. Ensure seamless integration of ASE with other Azure services and on-premises systems.
3. Monitor and optimize the performance of applications hosted in ASE.
