Urgent opening of Head Mechanical Maintenance in Deem Roll-Tech Ltd

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Department Head

Purpose:
To lead and manage the Mechanical Maintenance Department with a focus on ensuring optimal functioning, safety, and efficiency of all mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to and implement new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Maintenance & Equipment Expertise:
• Oversee the mechanical maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, including Lathe, Milling, Grinding, CNC Machines, Electrical Overhead Cranes, Heat Treatment Furnaces, Mould Driving Ovens, Induction Melting Furnaces, Hydraulics, Auxiliaries, Dump House, and Diesel Generation Compressors.
• Ensure efficient troubleshooting and repair processes for machinery breakdowns and maintenance schedules.
• Develop and reproduce drawings for damaged components and identify tolerances for component specifications.
2. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards and statutory regulations in mechanical maintenance operations.
• Oversee inspections of critical equipment such as pressure vessels, lifting tackles, cranes (including wire rope inspections and replacements), water quality standards, and building inspections.
• Maintain necessary documentation for compliance and equipment tracking.
3. Exposure & Documentation:
• Responsible for maintaining all relevant equipment documentation and records for audits, reviews, and inspections.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO, 5S, and EHS standards across the maintenance department.
4. Leadership & Team Coordination:
• Lead from the front with a proactive approach in managing day-to-day departmental operations.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime, resolve equipment shortages, and address any operational challenges efficiently.
• Build and lead a team of skilled maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
5. Decision-Making & Technical Expertise:
• Make informed technical decisions based on thorough evaluations, ensuring the reliability and safety of mechanical systems.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles to solve complex issues.
6. Innovation & Technological Adaptation:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in mechanical maintenance and engineering.
• Lead the implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance departmental efficiency.
• Train team members on the latest technological innovations and ensure proper knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification:
  BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience & Skills:

• Relevant Experience:
• Extensive experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy-duty equipment and machinery (Lathe, Milling, Grinding, CNC Machines, Cranes, Furnaces, etc.).
• Proven track record of maintaining equipment documentation and compliance with ISO and other standards.
• Hands-on experience with inspections and certifications for mechanical systems (pressure vessels, lifting tackle, cranes, water quality, etc.).
• Leadership & Decision-Making:
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and coordinating teams for maintenance operations.
• Effective decision-making capabilities with a focus on technical evaluations and problem-solving.
• Technological Proficiency:
• Ability to implement new technological tools and systems to improve mechanical maintenance processes.
• Eagerness to learn and apply technological innovations and to train the team accordingly.

Other Desired Skills:
