Process Safety Engineer

Responsibility:

1. Implementation and monitoring of process safety management, ISO systems and Industrial Hygiene.

2. Compilation of Process Safety Information Chemical & Physical properties, Fire & Explosion data, Toxicity data and Ecotoxicity data and preparation of chemical-chemical comptability matrixes / chemical-Metal comptability matrix.

3. SDS (Safety Data Sheet) Management – Compilation of SDS for the chemicals, Review of SDS Data to check any assessment required, Periodical review of SDS Track Sheet to update the existing / New SDSs.

4. Ability to carry out Process Hazard Analysis techniques– What if, LOPA/HAZOP and HIRA.

5. Basic understanding about chemical risk assessment and exposure monitoring studies.

6. Review of Change Management Proposals – Document review, identification of hazards and recommendation of control measures.

7. Perform Pre-Startup-Safety Checks to ensure all controls measures are in place before/after product/facility startup.

8. Conduct training to the employees on process hazards, emergency scenarios associated with product and other operations.

9. Preparation of training materials on process hazards and other PSM elements.

10. Basic understanding on ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems documentation.

11. Scheduling of Plant internal inspections, compilation of observations and actions follow-up.

12. Participation in Internal audits, compilation of observations and Actions Follow-up.

13. Performance review – KPIs related data collection.

14. Maintenance of Smart tracker for updation of actions and action follow-up.
