Database Developer (0-1 Yrs)

Role Summary:
As a Database Developer, you will manage PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with the development team to design schemas, optimize queries, and maintain database health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop database schemas to meet application requirements.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Monitor and optimize database performance using tools like pgAdmin or other monitoring tools.
• Implement and manage indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques.
• Perform database migrations and maintain version control using tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of databases into applications.
• Document database designs, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL database development and management.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning techniques.
• Knowledge of database version control tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good to Have:

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or other RDBMS such as MySQL.
• Knowledge of database replication and clustering.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the procurement or supply chain
• Knowledge of database security, including roles and permissions.
