Lead Scrum Master

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Scrum Master with a strong background in agile methodologies and a proven track record of guiding multiple teams toward high-performing outcomes. As a Lead Scrum Master, you will mentor Scrum Masters, facilitate complex agile processes, and drive collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams. Your expertise in agile practices and servant leadership will be critical to ensuring the success of teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also bring domain expertise in Telecom areas such as MVNO, MVNE, Carrier Billing, IoT, SaaS, PaaS, CRM, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Leadership and Mentorship:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to Scrum Masters across teams, promoting a consistent application of agile best practices.
• Lead and facilitate agile practices within cross-functional teams, including Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Champion the adoption and adherence to agile principles, promoting collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Project Management:

• Apply your project management experience to create, maintain, and manage project plans, timelines, and resources.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address issues to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support cross-team coordination to align deliverables and resolve interdependencies.

Scrum Process Facilitation:

• Act as a servant leader, guiding the team in effective Scrum practices and removing obstacles that hinder progress.
• Foster a culture of open communication, experimentation, and adaptive planning.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to define project objectives, requirements, and priorities.
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and team members.

Metrics and Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and identify areas for improvement.
• Encourage teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes in Sprint Retrospectives, driving continuous enhancement.
• Support program-level retrospectives and improvements where necessary.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification is preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in Scrum in an agile software development environment.
• Domain expertise in one or more of the following domains is desired but not mandatory: MVNO, MVNE, SaaS, PaaS, SDP, Carrier Billing,  OCS, SD-WAN, or IoT.
• Strong familiarity with various agile frameworks, methodologies, and practices.
• Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successful project deliveries.
• Proficiency in using agile project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project Plan, Smartsheet, Trello, Asana etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
