As Community Technical Moderator, you will help our online data practitioner community discover the value of Databricks by providing answers to their technical Databricks platform questions. You will be responsible for ensuring that questions and comments are responded to in an accurate, comprehensive, and timely fashion by providing answers directly, or tapping into a talented bench of subject matter experts (SMEs) for answers. This mission requires technical knowledge, diplomacy, great written communications, and above all a commitment to helping our customers learn and consume Databricks to the benefit of their careers and their organizations.

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external subject matter experts

Liaise with Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Learning & Certification, Marketing, Legal, Pre- and Post-Sales teams
Competencies
4+ years in understanding including Data Engineering, Data Analysis, and Machine Learning
Deep Spark and Delta understanding
Experience with Medallion Architecture
Familiarity with those open source tools: Unity Catalog, MLflow, Iceberg, Hudi
Deep understanding of either AWS or Azure data services, with relevant experience in the other platform, and familiarity with GCP
The ability to research within complex information landscapes
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence in low-resourced environments
Familiarity with community platforms such as Khoros, Vanilla, Discourse (preferred)
Past experience as a moderator or administrator of an online community (preferred)
