Job Summary:

The Chief Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical design and operations across multiple data center sites. This role is critical in developing and implementing cutting-edge electrical solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and autonomy of our data centers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Electrical System Design and Innovation:

• Design and oversee the implementation of sophisticated electrical architectures that support high reliability and future scalability. Focus on integrating new-generation technologies to move towards fully autonomous data center operations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and integrate innovative technologies and solutions to keep the data centers at the forefront of the industry.

1. OEM Partnership and Product Expertise:

• Cultivate strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to understand and leverage the best and latest in electrical system components and solutions.
• Utilize deep OEM insights to enhance system designs and solve complex challenges in electrical implementations.

1. Rapid Fault Identification and Resolution:

• Lead quick-response teams to promptly address and resolve any electrical incidents, minimizing downtime and operational disruption.
• Develop robust processes and criteria for fast-track Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence of issues.

1. Leadership and Strategic Oversight:

• Mentor and manage a diverse team of electrical engineers and technicians across various locations, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Ensure all team members are aligned with the companys strategic goals and continue to meet and exceed industry standards.

1. Compliance and Safety Excellence:

• Guarantee that all electrical systems and projects comply with national and international standards, and adhere to regulatory and environmental requirements.
• Champion a safety-first culture, implementing rigorous protocols and continuous training for all team members.

1. Project and Resource Management:

• Efficiently manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical specifications.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and forecasting to ensure optimal efficiency and resource utilization.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role specifically within the data center sector.

Skills:

• Expertise in the design and operation of complex electrical systems in data centers.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance and innovation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong track record in rapid fault analysis and resolution.
• Proficient in the latest electrical engineering software and tools, with a keen understanding of new technologies shaping the industry.

Certifications:

• Relevant data center certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS), or Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD).
• Safety certifications such as OSHA Certification or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

• Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on client relationship management.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet operational requirements and project demands.
