Solution Designer

Define the conceptual, logical, and physical architecture for the enterprise system

Design scalable and reusable API interfaces for catalogue-as-a-serviceCreate high-level and low-level designs ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles

Incorporate advanced features like contextual AI-based search and recommendations

Design and implement data ingestion pipelines integrating with multiple sources (e.g., dev platforms such as Gitlab, API gateways and workflow platforms such as ServiceNow and JIRA etc)

Develop data models (conceptual, logical, physical) for MongoDB or Elasticsearch to support catalogue metadata

Ensure interoperability with existing enterprise platforms and systems

Embed metadata management strategies to ensure version control, standards adherence, and NFR complianceImplement mechanisms to evaluate and rate APIs based on quality and catalogue completeness

Collaborate with enterprise architects to align with organizational standards and strategies

Work with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to implement design artifacts

Communicate technical designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Define and implement solutions to meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements

Establish monitoring and logging frameworks for API catalogue usage and performance

Proven experience in designing API ecosystems and catalogues at scale

Hands-on experience with API gateways (e.g., Apigee, Tyk) and OpenAPI specifications

Expertise in database technologies, including MongoDB and Elasticsearch

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts for search and recommendation systems (e.g., NLP, embeddings)

Proficiency in integration patterns and tools (e.g., REST, event-driven architecture, messaging systems)

Strong knowledge of security frameworks, including OAuth, IAM, and OpenID Connect

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and documentation skills

Ability to lead discussions with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Ability to mentor junior team members and drive technical excellence8+ years of experience in solution design or architecture roles

Proven track record of delivering large-scale API platforms or catalogue systems

Experience in the banking or financial domain (preferred but not mandatory)
