Reporting to - Sr. Program Manager

Purpose of the Role:

The Engineer selected for this position will belong to the team which has Global responsibility for the introduction and implementation of ISO 26262 & ISO 21448 in the organization.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Experience in the field of product safety, e.g. ISO 26262, ISO 21448, for example worked as a project safety manager or safety engineer in the context of development projects.
• Strong knowledge of agile development methods
• Experience with ALM/software management tools
• Experience in complete automotive software development lifecycle
• Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary and international project teams
• Knowledge of development processes, SW development Life cycle and Tool Chain in the Electrical & Electronics development of the vehicle.
• Proficient in German and English

Key Skills:

• Reviews of work products of Functional Safety, SOTIF & upcoming Safety standards in terms of an independent review body.
• Implementation/moderation of functional safety assessments and functional safety audits with the various partners in the development projects
• Methodical anchoring of the requirements of ISO 26262, ISO21448 in the development processes
• Creation / maintenance of training documents and implementation of training courses on functional safety & SOTIF at national and international level
• Work together with the functional safety and system engineers to ensure ISO 21448 (SOTIF) standard is implemented
• Creation of tools, templates, processes & methods to carry out Functional safety and SOTIF activities.

Education Qualification & Experience:

• Completed degree in engineering with a focus on Electrical / Electronics / Automotive / Mechatronics / Mechanical or comparable experience in the field of vehicle development, preferably in software/HW development for vehicle functions.
• Between 5 to 8 years of overall experience.
• Min 3 years of relevant Expertise in Functional Safety ISO26262 (& SOTIF ISO21448).
