Summary

• HVAC Systems engineer with around 7 to 12 years proven experience in developing HVAC or PCA Systems, preferably in transport mobility applications.
• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering/Refrigeration and Air-conditioning

Main tasks & key responsibilities

• Customise PCA system and equipment design for wide range of projects, globally across sites, for different climatic conditions and end user requirement.
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to understand functional & performance requirement, operational environment, regulatory compliance and specify the product and system requirement.
• Establish and oversee all technical aspects of PCA development covering thermal calculations, design and selection of appropriate systems & components, prototype building and validation.
• Deliver technical proposals, technical documents for customers approval and support in concept to detailed design and drawings for production
• Devise testing procedures to assess and fulfil technical, functional and performance requirement.
• Analyse PCA systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation.
• Maintain and modify current products towards cost reduction, value engineering, reliability improvement, standardisation, modularisation
• Support to Services, Trouble shooting

Hard skills

• Expert in HVAC Systems design, thermal calculations and selection of appropriate systems/parts to fulfil technical, functional and performance requirements
• Expert in regulations like ASHRAE, compliance regulations including any certification
• Review designs, evaluate prototypes through verification and validation
• Problem solving techniques, trouble shooting and identifying solutions
• Strong exposure to DfX, DFMEA
