Product Head

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Business Growth & Development:

- Develop and implement strategies to drive business expansion and increase revenue.

- Identify and explore new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.

- Ensure the development and launch of competitive products aligned with market demand.

2) Marketing Activities:

- Work closely with the marketing team to provide technical guidance for promotional strategies.

- Conduct technical presentations to stakeholders, clients, and internal teams when required.

- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

3) Cost-Effective Product Development:

- Study product drawings and create Bill of Materials (BOM) sheets.

- Regularly update BOM in the system and rectify existing BOM if required.

- Review project documents and implement necessary revisions to improve efficiency.

- Optimize product development processes to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

4) Technical Guidance & Process Improvement:

- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the marketing and sales teams.

- Evaluate and track the implementation of industry best practices, new technologies, and process improvements.

- Ensure product designs meet compliance and industry standards.

5) Financial & Performance Monitoring:

- Monitor and report on revenue generated through successful conversions in the CRM sales funnel.

- Track financial contribution and sales performance to align with business goals.

- Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and track spending on engineering resources.

- Evaluate the quality of code reviews and incorporate feedback into the development process.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Industry Knowledge:

- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial product development. Knowledge of technical product sales and marketing is a plus.

2) Technical Expertise:

- Strong understanding of BOM creation, process improvement, cost optimization, and industry best practices. Familiarity with CAD software, CRM tools, and project management systems is an advantage.

3) Soft Skills:

- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to conduct technical presentations and provide strategic guidance to marketing teams.

4) Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Product Management, or a related field.

5) 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or business development.
