Job Description

Job Description:

Design, develop and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Microsofts .Net framework, primarily with languages like C# and leveraging technologies like ASP.NET Web API to create robust and scalable backend services for web and mobile applications.

Skills Required:

Proficient in C# and .Net Framework
Strong understanding of ASP.NET Web API, RESTful principles, and HTTP protocols
Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, including data modelling and querying
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices
Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services for API deployment and scaling
Understanding of API security concepts like OAuth, JWT, and rate limiting
Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like NUnit or xUnit
Knowledge of designing and developing microservices-based APIs

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to define API requirements, endpoints, and data structures.
Design RESTful APIs following best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
Create API documentation with clear specifications and usage examples.
Implement API functionalities using C# and .Net technologies (ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, etc.).
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards.
Integrate with external systems and databases to retrieve and process data for API responses.
Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure API functionality and reliability.
Implement automated testing frameworks to streamline testing processes.
Monitor usage, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely fixes.
Manage API versioning and update documentation accordingly.
