Summary :
As a Senior Workato Developer, you'll lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of sophisticated IT integration and automation solutions using Workato, ensuring they align with the needs of our internal teams and external clients. Collaborating closely with our IT team, project managers/Agile leads, and end-users, you'll analyze requirements, devise solutions, and deliver top-tier software solutions.
Essential duties/responsibilities :
- Analyze requirements : Collaborate with stakeholders to scrutinize requirements for new software applications or enhancements, guaranteeing that developed software fulfills customer needs.
- Design software solutions : Create and configure Workato recipes and connectors to integrate and automate various IT systems and applications, such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, cloud services, databases, etc to ensure the resulting software meets functional and technical demands.
- Develop and deploy scalable software : Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, leveraging your expertise to ensure scalability, complexity, efficiency and lead deployment activities of that code in multiple environments.
- Integrate software components : Use Workato features and best practices to design and develop reusable, modular, and efficient workflows that can handle complex logic, data transformation, error handling, and security.
- Perform unit testing : Conduct thorough unit testing of recipes, recipe functions and connectors to identify and rectify bugs and issues, ensuring adherence to quality standards and expected performance levels.
- Debug and troubleshoot : Skillfully debug and troubleshoot Workato recipes and connectors, swiftly identifying and resolving issues encountered during development or deployment to ensure uninterrupted operation and minimal downtime for end-users.
- Provide technical support : Offer expert technical support and guidance to end-users during software implementation and deployment, empowering them to utilize the software effectively and troubleshoot any encountered issues.
- Stay updated with technology : Remain abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Workato and other iPaaS platforms, integrating relevant advancements into our software solutions.
- Collaborate with team : Foster effective communication and coordination throughout the software development lifecycle by collaborating with IT team members, project managers, and end-users, ensuring a collaborative work environment and successful project delivery.
- Mentor and lead junior developers and non Workato developers.
- Document processes : Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications related to Workato development and deployment, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team and streamlining future development efforts.
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. A combination of relevant education and professional experience may be considered instead of a bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in IT integration and automation development using iPaaS tools like Workato, Mulesoft or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience in building solutions using Workato.
- Proficiency in Workato features, such as recipes, connectors, SDK, API, data pills, variables, formulas, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Certification in Workato or similar platforms is a plus
