Responsibilities
Conduct high-quality academic research on cutting-edge blockchain topics, including Bitcoin, Lightning Network, Ethereum, Nervos and other ecosystems, and publish in top-tier conferences and journals.
Collaborate with internal teams and external researchers to design and develop innovative blockchain application protocols.
Analyze emerging blockchain trends in areas like cryptography, consensus mechanisms, scalability, security, and privacy, and share insights through technical blogs and reports.
Present research findings at conferences, meetups, and internal sessions.
Qualifications
Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong background in blockchain technology, cryptography, security, and privacy, including familiarity with protocols like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Layer 2 solutions (e.g., Lightning Network).
Proven academic research experience with a strong publication record in top-tier conferences and journals.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Rust, Go, C++) and cryptographic libraries/tools.
Fluent in English as the working language.
Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing and implementing blockchain consensus mechanisms, Layer 2 scaling solutions, or smart contracts.
Experience with formal methods, game theory, or distributed systems.
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
Prior experience in blockchain industry research roles or academic blockchain research groups.
